How does the Atmosphere work

Introduction

Earth is made up of four different spheres and those spheres are called the Geosphere, the

Hydrosphere, the Atmosphere and the Biosphere. Today I will be talking about the Atmosphere

Atmosphere

The Atmosphere is divided into five different layers they are called the Exosphere, the Thermosphere,

the Mesosphere, the Stratosphere and the Troposphere.

How high are the different layers of the atmosphere

the Troposphere is 14km thick "Tropos" from the word Troposhere means change. The Stratosphere is 35km thick, the O-ZONE layer is at this layer the word "Strat" from the word Stratosphere means layer. The Mesosphere is also 35km thick and its the hardest to study because planes can't go that high and satellites can't fly that low. The Thermosphere is 513km thick and the word "Thermo" means heat. The Exosphere is 10,000km thick and the word "Exo" means outside. the whole Atmosphere is 10,597km thick.

What is the Atmosphere

Earths is a great planet to live on and it has a wonderful Atmosphere. The Atmosphere is basically all the gases around us. Earth has 78% nitrogen 21% oxygen 0.9% argon 0.1% other gases like smoke.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we won't live without the atmosphere because without the atmosphere we won't

have oxygen or co2

Glossary

Satellites- An artificial body placed in orbit around the earth or the moon

O-ZONE layer- The O-ZONE layer absorbs most of the ultraviolet radiation from the sun
