An important reason is If trees give us air and people cut down trees for paper and houses So If we plant more trees we wIll have enough air, paper and houses. I think this is a good idea.

In one year, an acre of nature trees absorbs the same amount of carbon dioxide produced when you drive your car 26,000 mIles.
